What minimum should you expect?
Printer minimums, blank-seller minimums and cut-and-sew minimums are three different things. Here is what the shops in our directory actually publish.

“Minimum” means three different things, and mixing them up is a common source of confusion on r/streetwearstartup [source]:
- Blank minimums: how many garments a seller makes you buy. Many open-price sellers (18 in our where-to-buy list) sell single pieces, with lower prices at volume.
- Print minimums: how many pieces a decorator will run. These depend on the method: screen printing usually has a minimum because of setup, while DTG and DTF often don't.
- Cut-and-sew minimums: making a garment from fabric. Expect much higher minimums and sampling costs than decorating a blank.

A minimum that isn't published isn't the same as no minimum. Ask the shop, and ask whether the minimum is per design, per color or per garment style.
